OneSpan allows you to use digital identity verification to acquire more customers and fight application fraud. Multiple digital identity verification methods delivered via a single platform integrated with e-signature.

ID Document Verification

  • Fraud Prevention

ID document verification helps prevent fraud during customer onboarding.

  • Image Capture

Capturing a good quality image is vital for accurate verification. Real-time instructions allow users to capture an image of their ID document with the camera on their device.

  • Document Type Validation

OneSpan V-Hub has the ability to identify the type of document that is being captured (e.g. US Passport, Spanish ID Card, UK Driver’s License, etc.). This ensures that the correct documents are obtained.

  • Document Checking

Artificial intelligence (AI) and authenticity algorithms analyse the image to determine whether the document is genuine or fraudulent.

  • Data Extraction

OneSpan V-Hub is able to extract several data points per document captured, including dates, ID numbers, images, addresses, text and more. These data points can be stored and provided to the client as required.

  • Data Comparison

Our solution uses configurable logic to compare extracted document data to a customer’s previously captured metadata to prove that the customer is who they say they are. The matching logic can be tailored to a client’s specific need using a scorecard based on the demographic of the customers. This ensures an optimal algorithm for the solution.

Biometric Verification Using Facial Comparison

  • Fraud Prevention

Biometric verification is available through V-Hub to establish that a user is the person they say they are.

  • Image Capture

The user takes a selfie with the camera on their device. Advanced algorithms extract biometric data from the image and compare it to the image on the authenticated ID document to determine whether the user is genuine.

  • Customer Presence Detection

Before a captured image or “selfie” can be used for facial comparison, liveness detection can used to prove that a person is genuinely present and that a static image has not been used fraudulently.

  • Active Liveness Detection

Active liveness detection involves the customer performing an action, for example blinking, speaking or moving their head.

  • Passive Liveness Detection

Passive liveness detection is achieved with image analysis algorithms, which check elements of the image captured, such as the glare or blur. Active and passive methods can be used together to prove the realness of an individual capturing a selfie.

  • Data Privacy

No personal data images are stored as part of the process.

Workflow, Design & UX

  • Visual Workflow Designer

Visual Workflow Designer makes it easy to map out workflows for the end-to-end financial agreement process. The drag-and-drop interface and pre-defined actions simplify the task of building sophisticated ID verification and signing workflows.

  • White-labelling

Completely white-label the electronic identity verification and biometric verification processes and put your brand front and centre on web and mobile pages that applicants see. A fully branded transaction reinforces customer trust and ensures the highest adoption rates.

  • Mobile Optimized UX

The step-by-step identity verification process is optimized for small form factor devices such as smartphones and tablets. Easy-to-understand instructions help applicants move seamlessly through the mobile ID capture and selfie biometric verification process.

Audit Trails

  • Customer Identification

The audit trail contains details of the identification checks and results performed by the customer. This will include the request / response in JSON format with the details of the check performed.

  • Transaction Event Timeline

Ability to capture a full timeline of timestamped events. Whenever an action is performed by a customer, or a page is loaded, this will be recorded in the audit trail.

  • Workflow Pages

Copies of the pages that the customer saw, when working through the digital identity verification process, are recorded so that these can be played with the event timeline to reveal exactly what the customer did and saw.

  • Integrated with e-signatures

Verification audit trails can be embedded into an e-signed agreement to prove compliance.
